The GT-1200 is a precision robotic total station — and Sitemark is built to match its output. Import data collector files from Topcon MAGNET Field or FC-6000, document backsight setups, track layout shots, and deliver professional as-built PDFs without leaving the field workflow.
Log layout shots as they happen. Each point records design coordinates, actual measured position, deviation, and pass/fail status. Build the as-built while you work.
Document every setup: control point coordinates, backsight point, orientation verification, and residual error. Inspector-ready setup records for every instrument occupation.
Import CSV exports directly from Topcon MAGNET Field or FC-6000. No reformatting, no manual data entry. Points load with full coordinate data.
Generate a client-ready as-built PDF with coordinate table, deviations, setup log, equipment info, and signature block — one click after the last shot.
The Topcon GT-1200 is a high-accuracy robotic total station designed for construction layout, as-built surveys, and machine control applications. It combines Topcon's LongLink robotic tracking with on-board MAGNET Field software for one-person layout across large sites.

A standard GT-1200 layout workflow documented in Sitemark from control setup to final as-built delivery.
Set up a Sitemark job for the project. Import your control network coordinates — either by uploading a CSV or manually entering control points. Set datum, project datum, and geoid model.
Log your instrument setup: station point, HI, backsight point, and backsight azimuth. Record the orientation check residual — this creates an audit trail for the survey.
As you stake points with the GT-1200, log each point in Sitemark. Design coordinates vs. actual staked coordinates. Deviations flag automatically against your tolerances.
If you're using Topcon MAGNET Field on an FC-6000, export to CSV at the end of the day and import directly into Sitemark. All points, attributes, and codes import with the file.
One click produces a professional as-built with coordinate table, deviation summary, instrument and setup log, and signature block. Share the PDF with the engineer or inspector directly from Sitemark.
A poor backsight invalidates every shot that follows. Sitemark helps you document and audit your setups.
Set up over a known control point. Measure HI carefully. Aim at a second known control point for backsight. Record the backsight residual — typically should be under 0.01 ft for construction layout.
Occupy any stable location and observe multiple control points. The GT-1200 calculates the station position by resection. Useful when you can't occupy control directly. Document the solution RMS in Sitemark.
Before starting layout, observe a check shot to a third control point not used in the setup. Log the check shot result in Sitemark. If deviation exceeds tolerance, identify the problem before staking.
The standard data collection software for the GT-1200. Supports layout, topo, roads, and DTM. Export jobs as CSV or JXL for import into Sitemark.
Windows-based rugged data collector with full MAGNET Field software. Built for harsh field conditions. USB and Bluetooth transfer to Sitemark.
The GT-1200 requires regular calibration checks — EDM calibration, collimation, and vertical index. If you're tracking calibration dates in a spreadsheet or a notebook, you're going to miss one.
Sitemark lets you add your GT-1200, set calibration intervals, and receive automatic alerts before due dates. Every calibration record is stored with date, technician, certificate number, and result — ready for the inspector or project documentation.
