The Point of Intersection (PI) is the point where two tangent lines of a horizontal curve intersect. It is a mathematical construction point used in horizontal alignment design and is not physically located on the actual road — the road follows the curve between PC and PT. PIs appear in alignment tables and are used to compute curve geometry including radius, tangent length, and arc length.
